All original tabs disappear when you enable private browsing. Don’t worry, they are still there. However, tabs opened in private browsing mode will only be visible until you turn them on again.

Think of private browsing as Vegas. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. And when you go back, it will be there. If you quit Safari while private browsing, the next time your web browser is started, all websites will open in open private browsing mode. When you exit private browsing mode and return to normal mode, the websites you visited in Vegas are still there. The next time private mode is turned on, all websites will reappear as tabs on the screen.

How to Enable/Disable Cookies and Clear Web History on iPad

You can enable or disable cookies in the Safari browser on your iPad. Most people want to keep cookies enabled. The website uses cookies to track you and various settings. Some websites do not work properly without cookies. However, if you are concerned about which websites keep information on your iPad, you can easily disable cookies. You can also quickly delete web history.

Apple retains all customization options for most default apps (Safari, Notes, Photos, Music, etc.) in iPad Settings, which require you to enable or disable cookies.

• First, go to iPad Settings by tapping the Settings icon. ( Open your iPad’s settings for help. )

• To enable/disable cookies, find Privacy & Security Blocks and change the Block Cookies option. Your choice is always , always and from third parties and advertisers . Choosing from third parties is best for using cookies while maintaining a medium level of security by verifying that you have actually visited the website associated with the cookie. For the most secure experience , select Never to completely turn off cookies.

Remember: many websites are designed to use cookies, so they may not work properly if cookies are turned off.

• To prevent websites from tracking you , turn on the switch next to Don’t Track . Instead of turning off all cookies, this setting turns off the ability for websites to track you on the web.
• Toggle the switch next to the label to turn on fraudulent website alerts . The warning switch for fraudulent websites is off by default. These alerts aren’t perfect, but you’ll get alerts for perfectly secure websites. This system provides an extra layer of security and helps you make more informed decisions on the web.
• To clear your web history and cookies , find the Clear History and Website Data link at the bottom of Safari Settings . Deleting cookies clears data such as the username and password you used to log in to websites such as Facebook or Twitter, and other personal or non-personal information that websites have stored about you.
