X-Men: Days of Future Past

While this movie begins in the dystopian future of 2023, it quickly moves to 1973, back with the cast of First Class with the addition of Wolverine’s time travel. The plot of this movie revolves around stopping Mystique from assassinating the inventor of the mutated killing machines called Sentinels. While this does have an impact on the timeline, it makes more sense for this to come second, due to the massive time jump at the beginning of the movie.

X-Men Apocalypse

Sticking with the Days of Future Past timeline, X-Men Apocalypse below gives viewers their first introduction to the likes of Jean Grey, Psylocke, Cyclops, and of course, Apocalypse. The film is working on building the Days of Future Past timeline as the characters head in a different direction than their counterparts in the original films. Give Apocalypse This point in the playback order reduces the continuity errors that occur when watching the original movies.

X-Men Dark Phoenix

Which eventually became the final X-Men movie produced by Fox, Dark Phoenix took on a darker retelling of the story in X-Men: The Last Stand Source Material: The iconic Dark Phoenix saga. This movie is set eight years after the events of Apocalypse and revolves around the story of Jean Grey. While this story is one of the most popular in the comic book franchise, its film adaptation missed the mark and has been heavily criticized by fans and viewers alike.

If you follow this clock order, you’ll notice a time change here to show the events prior to Wolverine’s journey into the past.

DeadPool

2016 ‘s Deadpool brought the reintroduction of the character closer to his comedic self this time. The film followed mercenary Wade Wilson, expertly played by Ryan Reynolds, in a story that explains the character’s origins and offers brutally violent scenes with just enough gag. Deadpool, the fourth wall-breaking mutant, is definitely popular with X-Men fans.

Dead Pool 2

Released a few years later, Deadpool 2 continues the story of the first film, introducing new characters like Cable and Domino, even a reimagined version of the mutated Juggernaught (who also appeared in The Last Stand ). Led by David Lietch, they knocked it out of the park and struck the balance between serious action and comedic entertainment that the character of Deadpool is known for.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The first spinoff movie to hit theaters Origin: Wolverine As the name suggests, viewers get to see exactly how Logan became the mutated Wolverine. While the story and action are good, if not as good as some of the other movies in the series, Origin: Wolverine will always be known for its universal portrayal of Deadpool in the film’s climax.

X Men

Going back to the first X-Men movie to see a theatrical release, fans will notice a strong change of tone here. This movie is mostly about Wolverine, Rogue, and how they came to be the X-Men. We also learn about the mutant civil war led by Magneto. Now that you’ve reached that point in the timeline, the rest of the movies start to flow much more smoothly.

X Men 2

Colonel William Stryker revolves around an investigation into Professor Xavier’s school for mutants and uses his son’s mind control abilities to try to force Professor X to kill all mutants. The movie also explains how Wolverine was encased in his claws with adamantium.

X-Men: The Final Stand

The plot of The Last Stand can feel very similar at times to Dark Phoenix , with Jean Gray eventually losing control of her powers, which makes sense given they’re both from the Dark Phoenix Saga in the comics. The main difference, however, is that this movie revolves around a civil war between mutants after a vaccine was developed that reverses the effects of gene X. This fan-favorite movie features the largest collection of cartoon characters from any movie in the series and ends with an extraordinary final battle.

The New Mutants

The latest X-Men movie to release and the first after Disney’s acquisition of Fox, The New Mutants is hard to place on the timeline. With a new cast of mutants starring, there are few direct links to the original. X Men series, but thanks to the film’s writer Josh Boone, it takes place in the timeline of the original movies before Wolverine ventured back in time on the road. Days of Future Past . With this information, we know that it can’t happen after Logan, so it’s likely to happen at the same time as the Deadpool sequel, although it’s not in the same timeline as during this reality. dead Poolmeet Days of Future Past Occupation.

Logan

The last film in the Fox X-Men timeline and probably Hugh Jackman’s last time in the role of Wolverine. Logan is the most unique of all the films in the series, taking on a much more mature tone to tell the final story for some of the main X-Men characters. This road trip-style movie is about Logan, Professor X, and a girl named Laura. Logan is the perfect ending to the series and the most exciting X-Men movie to date. This is something you must do.
